About this listen

'A complex, dark and disturbing thriller, full of intrigue, toxic relationships and jaw-dropping twists.' Alex Stone

Two siblings, both missing for twenty years, turn up within one day of each other. One dead. One alive.

It was an ordinary school day, the day I lost my little brother.

One moment he was on the roundabout and then he was gone.

Missing.

They all blamed me. I was in charge. Even though I was only ten years old.

They sent me away. The hurt, the shame, the questions. The not knowing.

I tried to move on.

It's been nineteen years in exile and now somebody wants me back.

Someone with a dark secret. They hold the keys, they know the truth.

So, I need to return to the Welsh village of my childhood to find out who, because I have a secret, too…

I did something bad.

Bestselling author Diane Saxon’s thriller is sure to plunge you into the dark world of secrets and lies. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden.

'Packed full of secrets and lies, and in a town filled with an unsettling atmosphere, Saxon succeeds in putting the 'creep' in creepy.' Valerie Keogh

'An intensely dark thriller.' Ross Greenwood

'Gripping... I couldn't put it down.' Gemma Rogers

'An unputdownable, tense, fast-paced, terrifying plot that deftly twists and turns.' Danielle Ramsay

"An intensely dark thriller." (Ross Greenwood)

This book was completely different from the Jenna Morgan books but equally as good if not better. I loved the characters and how they all came to life and the narrator was brilliant with the characters voices and personalities. The ending was a shock but brilliant! What a surprise. Absolutely loved this book

Fantastic

chwarae teg .... wnes i ddim dyfalu'r plot.

The red herrings did the trick I didn’t see that coming.

An excellent listen.

A refreshing new style for this stand alone story.

Looking forward to the next one already.

Keep up the good work Diane.

Fair play ….. I didn’t guess the plot

Bit slow to get going but a good story.
Not overly complicated but this makes it easy to follow. Some of the characters are frustrating and why the village blames a ten year old for so long is a bit bizarre but kind of makes sense in the context of the village we learn about.

Good story - frustrating at times

You can’t help but become involved in the story. Think of circumstances or situations or real life stories you have heard.
This is an absolute for a series on one of the main streaming platforms.
My sisters secret builds on that needs and then……. There must be more?

Immersive, intriguing, true life.
