One house. One husband. Two women. Someone is lying.

Eden Fox, an artist on the brink of her big break, sets off for a run before her first exhibition. When she returns to the home she recently moved into – Spyglass, an enchanting old house in the pretty seaside village of Hope Falls – nothing is as it should be. Her key doesn’t fit. A woman, eerily similar to her, answers the door. And her husband insists that this stranger is his wife.

Six months earlier, a reclusive Londoner named Birdy, reeling from a life-changing diagnosis, inherits Spyglass. This unexpected gift from a long-lost grandmother brings her to Hope Falls. But then Birdy stumbles upon a shadowy London clinic that claims to be able to predict a person’s date of death, including her own. Secrets start to unravel and, as the line between truth and lies blurs, Birdy feels compelled to right some old wrongs.

My Husband’s Wife weaves a tangled web of deception, obsession and mystery that will keep you guessing until the last page. Prepare yourself for the ultimate mind-bending marriage thriller and step inside Spyglass – if you dare – to experience a story where nothing is as it seems.

Editorial Review

Feeney strikes again!
I know when I hit play on a book by Alice Feeney, I’m in for a ride into an otherworldly kind of suspenseful story. I mean, shouldn’t it be, “My Ex-Husband’s Wife”? So, I went along for the ride into another interesting town with a cast of characters going about their lives. Except for ... nah, I’m not going to tell you. I’m still rewinding this book in my mind to find the clues I missed. When you find them, let me know. Hint: It’s not over till it’s over. —Yvonne D., Audible Editor

Critic reviews

My Husband's Wife is propulsive, compulsive, addictive and everything else you could possibly want a psychological thriller to be. I read it in under a day, breathlessly, with wide eyes, and in awe of a writer at the top of their game (Lisa Jewell, author of None of This is True)
Three accomplished narrators skillfully present this thriller . . . Bel Powley delivers [Chief Bird] with confidence and wit. Richard Armitage makes Harrison sound truly frightening. Majestic descriptions of the seaside and outstanding sound effects provide some relief from the tension
My Husband’s Wife was non-stop thrills . . . and kept me guessing until the end! The best Feeney book yet! (Freida McFadden, author of The Housemaid )
Alice Feeney is a phenomenal storyteller. I was completely hooked (Clare Leslie Hall, author of Broken Country )
Clever, twisting, and devilishly dark. I loved My Husband’s Wife, the pace is breathless, and the ending is jaw-dropping. I’m a HUGE Feeney fan. (Chris Whitaker, author of All the Colours of the Dark )
Alice Feeney always hits the mark. Sensational. My mind is still spinning. This is going to be huge. (Jo Murray, author of Dissection of a Murder )
A dark, heart-stopping tale that’s so twisty you'll need to wear a neck brace. My Husband’s Wife has you second-guessing every character and their motivations, but Feeney manages to surprise you, even when you think you’ve got it all figured out! A masterclass in tense, compelling scenes that psychological suspense fans are going to love (Kate Gray, author of The Summer Party )
Brilliantly constructed, it kept me guessing . . . Feeney delivers a flawless resolution to such a clever premise – I absolutely loved it (Nikki Smith, author of They Had It Coming )
Deliciously dark and unpredictable . . . My Husband's Wife will mess with your head. Utterly compulsive and fiendishly plotted with jaw-dropping twists, this razor-sharp book will keep you guessing all the way to the end (C. L. Taylor, author of Every Move You Make )

Everything about this book was amazing. The story, the voice actors, the twists!! It took me a few chapters to really get into it, but once I did, I couldn’t stop! I finished this book jn 2 days!!! The ending actually made my jaw drop. I really think this may be the best book I’ve listened to in a LONG time.

Great story and narration. But I found the childish sound effects very irritating and interrupted the flow .

It didn’t need the sound effects
