Great Collection of Paranormal Tales

This was an interesting collection of haunting tales of the paranormal. Some creepy, others eerie. These show how otherworldly events can still touch the living. A great listen. The narrator did a wonderful job with just the right amount of emotion.

Good Individual Stories

I have listened to a couple other ‘Hauntee Life’ books by this author & really enjoyed them. Something about this one fell a little flat for me though. I definitely enjoyed some of the stories. I loved the the Monster in the Cupboard story!

I think that some of the philosophical aspects actually took away from tying it together rather than pulling it together, but, honestly, that is pretty subjective.

The narration threw me off a little too, it was written in an English voice (cupboard vs closet for example), but the narrator had an American accent. Overall though, the narration was engaging.

I always look forward to more good stories from this author.

Thank you to the author and AudiobookBoom for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Paranormal tales

Any additional comments?

This book contains paranormal stories that are apparently true. I guess truth is stranger than fiction. The stories are short and the narrator is OK.

Terribly interesting

I really enjoyed this book and wish it had been longer - more tales or more follow-up. I guess that's the down side to reality, it rarely comes in a neat little package. The stories can be fairly easily explained away so they are not going to convert anyone, but they were right there on the edge of wow-ness. I also really liked the author's notes especially at the end. I wonder if he shares more of his own story in a previous book? I'd very much like to know. This was a great way to spend an hour of listening.

Spooky

This was a fun book to listen to. It is one of those books that starts getting you thinking about other things that could be in this world that we don’t really know much about .

Perfect for Halloween

What made the experience of listening to My Haunted Life 3 the most enjoyable?

Short, chilling tales of the supernatural written with a deft hand. The narrator is spot on - a stentorian delivery with perfect tones and pauses in just the right places.

What does Alan Philip Ormond bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

An atmosphere of dread and danger - Ormond brings to life old Hollywood classics like Dracula and Frankenstein with his skilled narration.

If you could give My Haunted Life 3 a new subtitle, what would it be?

Short tales of the supernatural in every day life.

Any additional comments?

The short stories are the perfect length to listen to if you have a few minutes here and there. I enjoyed the author's hints about himself - his studies and worldview. They raise questions but give no pat answers, leaving open questions, much like the other stories herein.
