This audio book especially appealed to my older child, who appreciated the dramatic way the story was read. Good to have on play during car rides, or moments where parents can't read the book itself. It is a novelty for kids to hear a story they love, read by someone other than their carers. In this, their attention is captured and this helps to develop kid's listening skills, and create some much needed quiet time. The audio book version is perfect training for younger kids who are ready to start school , or have done so.
