Born in the late 1890s and coming of age on a remote mountain in Tennessee, Murrell soon realizes that his wit and common sense may be all he has to help him navigate his journey through life.

His determination and grit to build a good life and win the love of his life, Cora, will entertain, educate, and surprise the listener.

I love the narrators lazy relaxed manner of speaking, but neither the author nor the narrator used the local tongue of that time.
This story was written and read with today's modern language and perfect English. Even though the main character did not have a lot of schooling, and the mountain people would have used their own dialect.
