A true crime story. Nearly a quarter of a century after the brutal slaughter of newly married Sherri Rasmussen in her home in New York, her killer was finally found guilty of murder in the first degree. When the investigation following her death took place, this person had not even been considered by the police despite Sheri' father's appeals that they do so.
A strange and uncomfortable look at police corruption as well as the cold bloodied death of a woman. Short, clearly stated facts, though at times repetitious, read by Paul Christie in a straightforward, unemotional way, this book is a quick read, a free download from the Audible Plus programme.
What a nasty piece of work her cheating husband must have been

Wow, just unbelievable. Some people are so deluded. I do think this was well researched, written & narrated brilliantly. God bless Sherri

I’ve watched many films about this murder
It’s horrendous, not sure if he got the gunshots correct, I thought she shot sherri in the back as she ran to the door then put a pillow on her face to muffle sound and shot twice in her face. Sooo sad that a woman could be so jealous as to shoot an innocent person and never get found out for 30 years and carry on with her cop’ career and get married as if nothing happened!
Can’t believe she slept with rutton after killing his wife! Thank god Sherri fought back and bit her as it would never have been prosecuted . Also complete cover up by police, they knew it was women’s saliva years before they arrested Lazarus
Total bitch should have got death, so sad for family and John

So so sad

Usual American true crime caper with a slight twist, though most will see it.
Good narration, and if you're looking for a quick audible blast, this fills the hour and bit very well.

Something to get your teeth into . . . .
