I love a good mystery and this is one of the best I read in the last few months. The plot line is well done, the characters believable and the narration of Tamsin Kennard is masterfully performed.
Good thing, that the second title is already available.

Wonderful mystery in a great setting

This is an interesting story, it is like a story about a village that just so happens to have a murder. The police don’t really come into it very much. The main character is not who appears to be at the beginning. So you hear a lot about village life but during the investigation you are led into things that aren’t at all necessary to the crime. Only at the end do you find it is quickly cobbled together and we are left wondering why. The rate that they gave coffees away made me wonder if they would open one here.

Interesting story.

I enjoyed this book enormously, a branch from the much loved Kings Watch stories with a new flair. Lighthearted, amusing and enjoyable. Looking forward the next one.

Lighthearted murderous fun

This was a brilliant example of the genre, good story and brilliant narration, but if you set it in the countryside get it right jersey cows are not ginger!

I loved the bake off bit. Then there was a murder and the story drifted off entirely at a tangent. dnfd

seemed to go off on a tangent.
