In this, the fourth installment of the Doyle and Acton mystery series, Detective Sergeant Doyle realizes that several apparently unrelated murders are actually "containment" murders - murders to contain an ominous scandal that could reach into the highest levels of Scotland Yard's CID.

In the process of tracking down the killers, however, she comes to the unsettling conclusion that Chief Inspector Acton has committed a containment murder or two of his own.

Dreadful narraton

This narrator cannot do accents. It was difficult to tell one character from another. I will not read any more read by her.

When I first started listening to the Acton and Doyle series I was not sure at first. but very quickly grew to love the series. from the quirky Doyle to the serious Acton, the main characters from a strong bond with the readers. The supporting characters are well thought out and provide to flesh out a rich world they inhabit. This latest book in the series, is as expected, and excellent addition to the series. it is packed with intrique and sub-plots, equal to the other books in the series and sees the return of some other characters and ties up events started earlier in the series. A very enjoyable listen, thank you Anne Cleveland. It did take me a while to get used to the new narrator, Marnye Young, but soon enough, I got used to the change in accent, well read and thank you Marnye Young.

Excellent

The previous narrator was Irish and very good. This narrator is not so great and can't do accents at all. Everyone sounds like they have an Indian accent and can't do an Irish accent which spoils the story.
The 'stupid English' do NOT steam sausages. So many Americanisms...sidewalk, felony, horse-back... not to mention the Police promotion procedures inaccuracies.
