I really like Camilla Chafer as a writer and I've read many of her books. I've also listened to and really enjoyed the previous Calendar Mysteries in this series. However for me this audible version is let down by the narration. The style is staccato, lacks flow and the tone is flat. All of which was distracting and spoilt the story for me. Sadly it was not an easy listen. I tried to return this item after listening to one chapter. I did persevere to the end to see if it improved which sadly it did not.
Thankfully this hasn't put me off other Camilla Chafer audible books. However note to self - in future listen to the previews before purchasing as this item could not be returned.
