What an absolute treat of a listen! a lyrical and intelligent story of fallibility, love and landscape. An inspired choice in Jack Lowden as narrator who inhabits the book completely.

Michael Pedersen is a truly talented wordsmith, every sentence is a joy to behold. And Jack Lowden is a very talented actor, with a real flair for characterisation and accents. Put the two together, and add in a remarkable location (the most northerly island in the UK) and it makes for a very entertaining listen. Highly recommended.
