The narration is poor. It’s stilted, and inexplicably the Bennetts have been allotted apparently random regional accents. Even Mrs Bennett is described in the original as the daughter of a country solicitor so we can presume she spoke in a fairly refined accent, not that of Essex! Giving Mr Bennett a marked Yorkshire accent as a gentleman of many generations and advanced education, living in Southern England is simply delusional.
