And it pretty much goes downhill from there. It's not so much evidence for the existence of the biblical Jesus but more of a sermon to preach to the already converted. If you're an atheist like me then it's utter nonsense.
It falls into the very obvious trap of claiming the bible is true because it says so in the bible. No Mr McDowell your bible is the claim and not the evidence, you can't use your bible to prove your bible as it becomes circular or begging the question logical fallacy.
He continues his rambling which is littered with more logical fallacies like special pleading, arguments from ignorance and non sequiturs.
The bible's account of the crucifixion is so far off what would have happened it's laughable yet Mr McDowell takes the biblical account to be 100% accurate. If he existed and was crucified (there's no evidence to support such a claim) it would not have been on a cross but on a pole or even a tree. The cross symbol is Pagan and came from Emperor Constantine. He wouldn't have been nailed through the feet or hands but through the ankle and wrist. He would not have been taken down and entombed but left to rot as an example. It then carries on with more errors about the resurrection and claims that Jesus was seen by 500 people, funnily enough not a single person recorded a zombie walking around.
So please don't waste your time, it may appeal if you've been deeply indoctrinated into religion but for the rest of us it's just story book nonsense.
Don't bother.
