About this listen

"Find me, Sarah...."

When a handsome stranger whispers these three little words to Sarah Marcel, she knows her life is forever changed.

For two weeks straight, Sarah's been unable to eat, sleep, or even form a coherent thought properly. She fears she's losing her mind until a chance encounter brings a man into her life who seems to hold the key to solving her problems. With a single touch, he's able to ease her troubled soul and bring her some much-needed peace. Yet, just as Sarah believes she's found the solution to her dilemma, he disappears.

As Sarah begins to unravel a mystery surrounding her family's past, she quickly discovers her role in a world that's hidden from most humans. Being a Marcel comes with certain responsibilities, and there are some things that you can't hide from forever.

Contains mature themes.

Even when I'm reading books set in fantasy worlds with strange customs and creatures as well as for instance, fae or trolls or werewolves as the MCs, and therefore I obviously have to totally suspend belief, I like my books to be believable within their very own situational settings.

(I know, that's a bit convoluted! But I bet most of you interested enough to read reviews will "get" what I mean.)

This book most certainly manages that. One's quickly drawn into the author's world, and the Main Characters soon begin to feel as though they're one's friends, whilst secondary and peripheral characters are also fleshed out to the point that they feel equally real and valid whilst serving to set, or heighten, the flow of events.

Thanks be, also, for the lack of grammatical errors, and for a narrator whose voice flows along, putting emphasis and expression exactly where and when they are required.

I was so sad when I finished the book a few minutes ago and felt that I was parting with real friends rather than purely figments of the author's imagination ... but then came the unexpected preview of the sequel to the story and lo and behold, all is suddenly sunny in my world again! 😆

Wonderful and expressive reading of a thoroughly rewarding book.

I have a few things I think should be said about this book.
1. Don't give cats milk or cream, it wreaks havoc with their digestive system. Please get him the full cat tower, he's worth it.
2. If a man/woman bit down at that part of your neck with No Fangs it would hurt like hell, the Jugler vein is not that close to the surface. It is beneath the sternocleidomastoid muscle and she would bleed out in seconds. (Ugg Vamipire writers not doing homework)
3. Don't we all want money and to be treated like a princess? How stupid to say, Oh I don't want that! at least have her think to herself "I think I like this"
4. If she owns it all where is her paycheck for blood donations to make up for the $300 for food and $300 for cat toys? She is a teacher, not a rich person.
5. Stop laying in your room crying get some self-pride take up a hobby, do a house inventory, and hire a decorator on his account. Learn about antiques.
These are things I kept thinking: where is the woman of today? Be strong, face the fact you want those things and get your feelings out there.
Sincerely yours
Your Inner Princess

PS The narrator was great.

I wasnt expecting much from a free book but was pleasantly surprised by an original vampire love story. Some comment on the fact that Sarah just accepts her whole life has changed so easily, but if you don't take it too seriously you will enjoy the story. The story has enough depth to keep you engaged and wondering how it will progress, although parts are predictable. The characters are likeable.

I could see this as a netflix series and am immediately off to binge listen to the next book.

Pleasantly surprised. Id recommend it

After listening to this read skeptical I automatically feel at ease with how hooked I already am to find out about Sarah her family history and her prospects for the future. Glad to know of sequels and will be heading to listen to those now!

Engaging and keeps you hooked
