Summary

It's Peretti's ultimate monster story. And this time, the monster is real. Miles away from the hectic city, Reed and Rebecca hike into the beautiful Northwestern woods. They're surrounded by gorgeous mountains, waterfalls, and hundreds of acres of unspoiled wilderness. But something - or someone - begins closing in on them. Something no human has ever seen. And it's killing everyone in its path without remorse.

Harry and the Hendersons!!!

This was a good listen! The fear factor was really enhanced in an audible version, compared to the written word. Suspicious big foot sightings have been whispered about, folk are being maimed and an evil scientist is up to no good...I wouldn't go down to those woods today!

Liked it

I liked the fact that the author was also the narrarator. He's able to add emphasis where someone may not have picked up on the pages.
I have listened to several other narrators and I think Frank Peretti did a fine job. I did find the soundeffects at the begining of each chapter a little distracting.

Fantastic!

A wild adventure! I was never bored and it kept me with my muscles tense in a lot of places. I highly recommend for anyone who is a scifi monster fan.

Just OK

What was hard to get past was the narrarator doing the voice of one of the female characters. It almost made it unbearable but I got past it. The story is just so-so and I am surprised because the Piercing the Darkness, etc. books were so good.

Good story but a little disappointing

Good story but I was expecting a spiritual allegory. I kept waiting for an analogy to be drawn but it never happened. Interesting and enjoyable story though.

Twists and Turns with Delight

Frank Peretti, near rates his own novel, and brings his thoughts and imaginings to life. This mysterious fiction work keeps you guessing until the very end. As only Frank Peretti can, there are spiritual and practical insights woven into encounters that were born in his mind, yet bear some reflection for reality. Excellent novel and superb narration. This unabridged work has Peretti's talent of multiple voices and makes it easy to get caught up in the story.

Incredible.

At the start if found the reading fast. And it ism likely with another author this would be 15 hours. But once I got use to it, the delivery was incredible. Since he's the author he expresses the exact emotion of his intention. What a great book the interweaving story lines were terrific. Just loved the imagery he created. Wow.
