About this listen

Today's mom is faced with the task of helping her 8-to-12-year-old daughter grow up in a society that compels her little girl to grow up too fast. Moms' Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girl Years gives mothers practical advice and spiritual inspiration that will enable them to see their mini-women into adolescence strong, confident, authentic, and God-centered, even in a morally challenged society--without losing their childhoods before they're ready.

I was disappointed with this audio book overall, although there are some very good comments and thoughts in here but I had a few things I did not like about this audio book:

1. The book is for Christian families. This is not written anywhere in the book description, and frankly since I am not a Christian I find it irritating when the book says things like: "when such and such happens, you just have to believe your Tween girl will always come back to her faith of Christianity..."

2. The book has some very loving and inspiring statements, however it does not elaborate on the statements. It also does not explain how such statement relate to real life situations and how to deal with them

3. There are no concrete scientific research to back up the author's statements (for as far as I was listening to) so I found it to be quite opinionated

4. After listening for approximately 3 hours of this audio book I stopped listening because I felt it is too heavily based on religion.

Not too helpful, but had some good statements
