Summary

The adventure continues where the action left off. Jason and his new friends are thrust into the breech as he quickly finds himself in conflict with goblins, beasts, and players alike.

Hitting up the local dungeon, Jason discovers that his longtime nemeses have joined the game and are seeking to take over the server as they’ve done in MMORPGs past. As he strengthens his guildmates and NPCs, the conflict heats up as new alliances are formed to combat the growing threat.

Warning: This story contains adult situations, foul language, MMORPG-style violence, and other fun things. Listen at your own risk.

I have no idea what voice to select. Confident young man who is a gamer but the leader of his gaming group. Jokes around a lot but can be serious when needed. The game throws him into some seriously heavy situations that he takes quite seriously, but there is a lot of introspection on the nature of artificial intelligence and people.

Really enjoyable

I've really enjoyed this series so far, that characters are realistic and not overly sexualized. The story progresses well, without the characters becoming crazy OP right away. I really can't wait for the next book.

A fun story but the narrator needs work.

I enjoy this series a lot but lets get to the real issue with this story; the narrator. The performance is holding this book back from being a great one I think. I notice that the delivery of action scenes are very lacking in emotion. The only time that the book gets some good narration is when the main character gets angry or confrontational. If the narrator would just bring that to the action scenes it would help a lot. As it is the way he reads scenes jars you out of the story at times. We the listeners pay for an audio book like this and expect more than the reading of lines. I know that he has the capability because you hear it thought the book.

good addition to the story

I like the story, it's no new version slant litrpg. my only real problem is if the books are going to be short. dont spend 30+ mins rehashing the stats. just seems to be filler when the book is so short.

Nothing really happens

The entire book can be boild down to, "beat some punks, saved a big chested headache, found a wolf pet(because of course he did), beat some more punks, found some buddies, went home."

There is no sense of progression at all. MAYBE a day and a half goes by tops. I won't say it was bad, because it wasn't. It just doesn't really push the story at all. You could probably skip this one and just expect some help later on in the next one. Unless it takes another entire book just to reach the conquered city.
