Bella Matthews takes you to Kroydon Hills for a wonderful holiday romance, putting her own spin on the single dad/nanny and grumpy grinch/sunshine tropes. The story grabbed my attention right from the start, holding it straight to the end. Camden Monroe, a single dad of an adorable baby daughter, Sophie, plays professional football, and when he was in a pinch, needing someone to look after Sophie, he remembered his teammate mentioned his sister who had a degree in children was looking for a job, so that was his best option. Holly Chase, the girl with the punny tee shirts, lover of the holidays, who ran into Camden in town twice, run-ins with some great banter going on. The third time was her interview for the nanny position, a temp job until landed one in her field, and it was Sophie who sold her on the job. Holly called it, Camden is the grumpiest of grinches, but she would not have that, and the fun began. Holly was just what Camden needed in his life, not just as his nanny though. I thought these two were fabulous together and for each other, and it was great watching their relationship grow and morph into something so much more. This novella packs a full story, and I loved how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, witty dialogue and humor, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions, and a wonderful romance. Bella Matthews, thank you for this delightfully entertaining story, a story that warms your heart and leaves you smiling ear to ear.

🎧📚🎧  Erin Mallon and Connor Crais are fantastic with voicing these characters and performing a perfect portrayal of each. Mallon is a natural in Holly’s role, grasping every aspect of her personality, nailing her wit and sunny demeanor. Crais was just as amazing in Camden’s role, showcasing his personality perfectly, from his grump-a-tude to his sweetness, especially with his daughter. Both were fabulous at performing the roles of the side and secondary characters too. Their tone and pacing were just right for the story, and the emotion of each character shone through in their performance, making you feel them all. They are a pleasure to listen to and their entertaining performance captivates your attention the entire time.

Mistletoe Meet Cute is the first book in the Christmas in Kroydon Hills series and my first Bella Matthews book. I can confidently say that it won't be my last. I absolutely devoured, inhaled and consumed this novella, I was addicted. Right from the start I was laughing out loud and swooning hard. The small town was just pure perfection with all the Christmas vibes. Hallmark vibes with some spice!

I absolutely adored the relationship between Camden & Holly, how it came about and evolved. Camden is such a protective single dad to his little girl and it absolutely made my heart melt. His relationship with his daughter Sophie was absolutely heart melting. The relationship between Holly & Sophie was also the absolute cutest thing. Camden & Holly have scorching hot chemistry, the spice was on point and the relationship evolved nicely for a shorter book.

Overall, this is the perfect quick holiday novella to get you in the festive mood. If you love a good single dad and nanny trope you will devour this one like I did.

🎧 The narration by Erin Mallon & Connor Crais was absolute perfection. I absolutely adored them together, they brought the story to life so well. They both played their characters amazingly, the sarcasm, the banter, the chemistry and emotions everything was felt through their performance. Highly recommend the audio!

Mistletoe Meet Cute is sweet and spicy and sultry awesomeness! I loved this story from start to finish. The world building is phenomenal, and the smitten single dad sports star Camden is alpha-protector hotness to the max. The scenes with Camden and his baby girl are so sweet! Holly is quite the happy and spritely vixen, so good with both Camden’s grinchy persona and his beautiful baby girl. I adore how we get to unravel these two one piece at a time, watching them connect and fall so hard for one another.

The narrators did a phenomenal job of bringing this story to life with their performances. The warmth, laughter, emotions, action, and atmosphere oozing from the speakers is just so delightful and kept me hooked until the very end. This is quite the delectable holiday treat!

I devoured Mistletoe Meet Cute, and I'm still reeling from the experience. It's like Kroyden Hills and Hallmark had a secret love child, and this novella is the adorable result. Our heroine was born on Christmas Eve, and her family owns a Christmas village - talk about a festive overload! I should’ve hated this novella on that basis alone but here's the thing: Camden and Holly's romance worked its magic on me without being too sappy or schmaltzy. Their banter, flirting, and spicy chemistry had me hooked from start to finish. And let's not forget the hilarious group chat with Holly's siblings - they could give the Kingstons a run for their money in the humour department and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we haven't seen the last of the Chase siblings, it's the only thing on my Christmas list this year!

Bella Matthews' style of writing is like a holiday gift that keeps on giving, and the audiobook of Mistletoe Meet Cute is no exception - especially with Erin Mallon and Connor Crais bringing Holly and Camden to life with their narration. This is the perfect holiday grumpy sunshine listen! Bella Matthews brings me back to Kroydon Hills. Camden is trying to balance fatherhood and work. As a football player, his job takes him out of town regularly, and he hates to leave his daughter. In need of a nanny, he hires Holly temporarily. Yes, she is qualified, but she is also a bit over the top when it comes to decorating for the holidays, and Camden is quite the opposite. His small heart learns to grow with this woman. Sweet and spicy, this novella pushed all the right buttons. And I loved every minute.

Erin Mallon and Connor Crais are perfectly cast for this quickie. Mallon is the bubbly, over the top, wonderful nanny bringing all the joy to his home. Crais is the broody grump and phenomenal father with a warmth in his tone that is lovable. This is the kind of listen I love and keeps me coming back for more.
