Needs more illustrations

I agree that memory is dependent on imagery. That being the case, more and better illustrations are required to make this book better than average.

insightful and entertaining!

Mind Hacking combines several positive elements that make it a compelling read regardless of the path that brings you to the book. Namely, it is entertaining, provides insight without sacrificing accessibility, and perhaps most important to me in any "self-help" book, it is actionable. John offers a wide range of interesting and measurable activities and exercises to try. I think it is this experimental, incremental approach that will help readers (including me) to achieve sustainable progress in their mind hacking.

Let the games begin!

The author uses programming terms to describe how the human mind works and how to use that to make positive changes. I happen to have a background in computers and programming so that approach really worked well for me.

Great service and product

The simple instructions are supported by numerous studies and real-life examples. John deconstructs a concept that has always remained elusive to most humans. The honest introspection, detailed research, and relevancy in our technological age make Mind Hacking a must-read book.

Powerful if mastered

I really enjoyed this book and found several times, that visualizing the things like Luke Caldwell said, really helped in remembering. No doubt, that just knowing these things wont chamge your life, but with practise, this could be an amazing and life changing method for your memory!

Well written

If you're hoping to learn about and dedicate yourself to improving your memory this is definitely the book for you. It's not heavily laden with stories and bloviating. Rather it plainly and engagingly lays out the systems and techniques to have total recall.

This book works!!! I am using it right now!!!

I have been listening to this audiobook and following along with the exercises wherever I can (as the author says, repetition is key!) I've already seen a positive benefit in my life. I recommended this book to a friend who was going through some troubling times, and two weeks later he thanked me for the recommendation. If your life is less than perfect in any way, buy this book/audiobook and follow the advice! You will be better off

I was skeptical

I have a tough time studying. I’m a A student, however I have ADHD. This book was absolutely great for simple mind hacking tips. Which seem elementary, until you realize how important it is to remember lists in different parts of your life. This book is awesome.

Worth Remembering

I began listening this book to prepare to study for a major certification exam. So, in a way it ended up being one of the most productive procrastination techniques I’ve employed. I was able to apply several of the methods described in the book in some capacity and passed the exam handily. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the book goes far beyond rote memorization tactics to include strategies that can actually have a lasting impact. I’ve since recommended the book to several friends.
