I've listened to a LOT of Greig Beck's books and have become used to Sean Mangan's narration deteriorating some way into the story.

In this collection he doesn't wait. He slurs and sloshes his way into the book right from the opening minute. He struggles to enunciate words so he slows his narration in an attempt to hide this. I crank up the narration speed to 1.15x to help overcome this. Surprisingly it helps disguise the slurring too.

Sadly, Sean is a good narrator (when sober) I just think he lubricates his throat to much while doing the reading. I'm so surprised that the producer/director - or Greig - hasn't taken him to task over this. It's just not professional, and it ruins the books.

the final story Valkryn was great, but to have been put in with out the previous 2 books being available on audible is a real shame, I hope this is rectified asap so we can enjoy the full collection.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. The narrator makes it painful to listen. I can't even tell if the story's are good or not because I'm too busy focusing on the terrible voice. it's like he came back from the dentist with cotton stuffed in his cheeks. Its like a middle-aged man reading out the latest stock prices. It's like is Sean Connery had a stroke and spoke American. I emplore you, this one book has not only put me off audible but horror in general. The narrator is the true monster.
