Summary
A supernatural thriller novelette
Lauren has everything she’d ever wished for. Great career, financial security, loving husband, and devoted friends.
When her Raven spirit guide warns her of impending danger, she takes the omen seriously, but she doesn’t have enough time to perform the protection spell her grandmother taught her. Not my cup of tea
I personally did not enjoy the story I didn't find any of it interesting.
The narrator was very good though.

Great Story
Lauren has money, a hot man in her life, friends, a nice apartment, but all is not well. She’s from a line of witches and her Spirit Raven keeps appearing, warning of danger. Accidents and misfortune surround her and eventually even her life is at risk.
There’s the raven again….
This is a great short listen for those who enjoy fantasy. Well crafted, it keeps the listening engaged as the suspense builds. Who is it trying to destroy Lauren, and her dream life? Who is she it she cannot trust? The ending was a surprise 🙂
The narrator is pleasant and easy to listen to, and the pace of the story engaging.
4 stars for the narrator, 5 for the story.

Almost cozy mystery
I really enjoyed this book, it's not long, a nice easy short listen, but it's really good. an intriguing and twisting story that pulls you in almost immediately. lovely well rounded characters, that you feel you know well, even in such a short narrative space.
I enjoyed the narration as nothing was overplayed, the women weren't charactatures, you felt each had a personality of her own, distinct from the other.
my only wish was the story was slightly longer, that we could delve deeper into the character of Lauren and her friends in the coven. It felt like there was a lot left unsaid about her and I would love to learn more.
