Hands down, this is the best Christmas romance I’ve read (and listened to!) this year.
Merry Little Kissmas is basically a trope-stuffed Christmas stocking—and wow, what a gift 🎁
We’ve got fake dating, brother’s best friend, grumpy x sunshine, single dad, hockey, an utterly lovable child, and a scene-stealing dog. Ho ho HO indeed.
Rowan is the ultimate Christmas Grinch with a heartbreak backstory, a heart of gold, and the most adorable relationship with his daughter Mia (seriously—top tier book kid 🥹). Add in Wanda the dog and honestly… just hand this man his “Book Boyfriend of Christmas” crown already. Isla, our sunshine matchmaker queen, is warm, bubbly, chaotic in the best way, and so easy to root for. Watching her joy slowly melt Rowan’s icy walls? Absolute rom-com perfection.
The banter is sharp, the chemistry is 🔥 (Hallmark vibes… but make it spicy), and the found family moments had me smiling like an idiot. It’s cozy, festive, funny, heartfelt, and surprisingly emotional without ever losing that light, joyful holiday tone.
And can we talk about the audiobook? Because WOW. The full-cast narration brings everything to life—the flirting, the humor, the emotional beats. It was immersive, swoony, and honestly made me love this story even more.
If you love small-town Christmas charm, grumpy men who are secret softies, fake dating chaos, and festive romances that feel like a warm hug (with a little spice), this one is an absolute must-read/listen.
