About this listen

Cash Evans knows exactly what he wants for Christmas. Too bad he can't have her.

The infamous tattoo artist's been watching geeky Bailey Cooper for months, but that's all he'll ever do: watch. Bailey's too sweet, too smart, too good for the likes of him, and he knows it. So Cash keeps his distance . . . until a Christmas miracle makes him Bailey's boss.

Socially awkward Bailey learned long ago that men just aren't worth the hassle. Take her new boss, Cash: he's a brooding beast who avoids her like the plague, but he also fixes her plumbing, helps the homeless, and offers Bailey a place to stay for Christmas.

She's never met anyone so confusing—or so impossible to resist. And the more Bailey learns about Cash and his demons, the more she thinks it's time to stop fighting.

Contains mature themes.

beautiful book, and the narrator did an amazing job. It was a perfect listen and I couldn't stop listening.

I love Talia Hibbert!

Easy listen, nice little story. Was frustrating to have a supposed English narrator who couldn’t pronounce English things properly (Derby, an Aga..) kept throwing me off. Liked him more than her, seemed irrationally annoyed at him during the first half - didn’t really understand what he’d done to deserve her level of vitriol.

Nice easy listen

Enjoyed this for an easy listen.
The narrators voice was a bit too childish to carry the characters.

Q. How many words can one person repeatedly mispronounce in 5 hours?
A. At least half a dozen

bowbles (baubles)
barrister (barrista)
gowdy (gaudy)
Derby (Derby)
Agaaa (Aga)
cashooo (cashew)
boloGnese (bolognese)

Aside from that she also gave every single character a different regional accent, even those who were raised together in one family, and the male characters sound like breathy young girls.

Sweet but spicy with awful narration

The story is beyond cliche. It’s badly written, and characters don’t have an original bone in their fictional body. It’s a miracle I finished it.

The narrator is possibly the worst I’ve ever heard. Every character was voiced in a high pitched breathy voice. Man, woman or child, didn’t matter. Give them all a childlike petulant voice. The accents were awful, even I could tell and I’m not a native speaker.

Honestly, don’t bother. If this wasn’t free, I would’ve asked for my money back.

Bloody awful story, even worse narrator
