Summary

Petunia Patterson's life was turned upside down when she discovered a body in her new neighbor, Noah Becker's, back yard. It's bad enough that her cat, Pansy, had gotten into his house - especially when Pansy wasn't a cat at all, but Jeremy Walters, a man she gave a love potion to, which transformed him into a cat.

Soon Petunia was a person of interest, and she teams up with Noah to clear her name when all the evidence points to Petunia. If they don't figure who the Knitting Needle Killer is, and soon, will she be the one that would have to answer for the crimes?

Pussy cats and Plot holes

I really wanted to enjoy this audiobook but it had so many issues: stunted, unrealistic dialogue; plot holes; a bumbling heroine who spends half the book saying she ‘has’ to do stuff then not doing it but not really explaining why; and a narrator who emphasises the wrong words.

It feels very much like an early draft rather than a finished product.

An Entertaining, Cute Murder Mystery

Though at times childish and repetitive, Meows, Magic & Magic was an entertaining listen that left me wanting to solve the mystery along with Petunia and Noah. I plan to listen to the rest of the books in the series, and I would recommend the same to anyone looking for light, cozy murder mysteries.
