I listened to this book because I put weight on during menopause. The book is a very interesting narrative of the whole process of menopause. It includes a section on weight gain, but then the majority of the book covers what helps manage symptoms. It is liberally peppered with evidence and research on hacks/strategies/approaches and gives a lot of advice on what works. It was an informative listen. The advice on weight was only part of the book, so maybe the title was misleading.

A highly enjoyable read, covering everything you need to know and consider before going to your doctor to seek a pharmaceutical solution to menopause. This book is packed full of sound evidence-based advice and surprising statistics.
As I read through it, I kept saying to myself - yes, Yes! YES!!

This is a very interesting ‘read’ which covers multiple angles to menopause. It is also a great way to remind yourself of some things you make have forgotten. Personally I found the chapter on osteoporosis very insightful and also the ‘HALT’ method to eating - I’ll definitely be using that one. My ONLY criticism is the slightly irritating American accent as I know this is not the author. Wish it could have been a British accent but that’s just my personal preference.

This book has very valuable well researched information on menopause which I have found very helpful but the book has much more than that. It is a fabulous guide to embracing this next stage of life and living it in the most healthy way possible.
I highly recommend it.
