Summary

After a Sweet 16 ceremony, Reyna Clifton - the mother of the birthday girl - is found severely injured at the bottom of the grand staircase of the Regal Phoenix Resort and Spa.

The Clifton family blames the resort for Reyna’s fall and sues for negligence. Daniel Mendoza and his firm are called in to defend the lawsuit, but when Mrs. Clifton is found dead in her hospital room, Daniel's suspicions arise.

Although the story was an interesting one, I found it difficult due to the narration style. The narration didn't flow well and came across as rather impassive.

series from Daniel Maldonado. May It Please The Court. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen something completely different happened. I love the legal jargon and I also love that most of the book doesn’t take place in a court run. I think this is a great start to a great new series and I already have the second book already in my library and download it. I thought the narrator had a great voice, but maybe he should have read each chapter before narrating. His voice was pleasant and I really have no negative things to say about his now ration except maybe he could have practiced a little more. Please forgive any grammatical or punctuation or errors as I am blind and dictate my reviews but all opinions on my own.
