Summary
In true enemies to lovers style, when the fox touches the jaguar with his spirit, the big cat touches the fox’s soul with his heart.
Trent, powerful jaguar shifter, and one of the biggest business names in Chicago, has a lot on his plate. He’s taken on the role as leader of the urban shifters and finds himself at odds with the surrounding rural community. His latest plan to buy land from the country shifters, with the promise of a better future for them, has them up in arms.
When they grow desperate enough, the rural leaders call on Ash, a fox shifter with "skills". His job is to take the high and mighty and bring them crashing down from their own hubris and corruption. Born and raised in Chicago, Ash returns to his home city, with his crafty gaze set on destroying Trent’s career.
When the two meet, personalities and intentions will bounce and crash off of one another. Sparks will fly, and secrets will come pouring out of the shadows. Ash and Trent will deal with not only with their growing attraction to one another, but getting caught in the middle of a deadly scheme.

Great shifter romance!
Fixer, Ash, is hired by a bear shifter clan to disrupt the plans of real estate developer, Trent, who wants to build a resort on their lands. True to his were-fox nature, Ash is small, wiley, and seems to effortlessly outfox guards and security systems. Trent, on the other hand, is an apex predator were-jaguar, used to getting his own way. I really enjoyed the story which was fun and romantic; I loved the two main characters, and was drawn in by the mystery. 🎧 Ryan’s voice was soothing and his narration did justice to the sense of fun in the story.

Good series intro!
Enter the world of almost Waring shifters with one trying to help and being sabotaged for his good deeds. I enjoyed this thrilling novelled of betrayal amount shifters. A great easy listen!

as good as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
