I’ve ripped through all the Theo Cray books and was so excited to start this new trajectory where he pairs up with Jessica Blackwood. Maybe my expectations were too high. There was so much to be thrilled by, but also there were elements that bordered on the unbelievable and slightly preposterous. It all felt a bit relentless. Also, I didn’t gel with the female narrator, but that’s probably just me. I feel sad because I’m not going to race to download the next book 😔
