I really loved the structure of this book and how each chapter is clearly broken down. Q & A sessions at the end of each chapter helped understand the content better. It made it easy to understand how the brain functions when it comes to memory, and how different tools can be used to retain and sustain it. The content is practical, easy to follow, and strongly backed by neuroscience, which made the concepts feel both credible and applicable to everyday life.

The author is purposely targetting the older person who has or anticipates having memory problems. The content is a mixture of advice on lifestyle and habit formation with strategies and tips to enhance memory in all aspects, especially the recall phase. It is not a prescriptive approach and it is acknowledged that every idea or tip will not suit everyone. You are presented with a buffet of ideas and tips to choose what suits you and your circumstances. The better chapters conclude with a consolidating exercise, although some of these are simplistic. I consumed this in a few sessions, but it may be that a slower and more considered appraoch will serve you better.

The narrator is to be commended on delivering the text with enthusiasm and positivity throughout and delivering some technical terms with confidence and aplomb.
