Summary

After surviving a harsh winter, Eli finds himself in a unique situation when a long-lost dungeon is discovered on the property. It could be the perfect proving ground for the students who have earned their Class, but it could also become their tomb.

It also doesn't help that the town of Last Stop is in danger. The Edgelands are creeping in and gobbling up entire cities overnight. With nowhere else to take the children, it's up to Eli to come up with a solution to both problems that only a Master Enchanter could accomplish. With the love of a few good women by his side, anything is possible.

We already know what skills do

Liked: Story, voice actors.

Disliked: Describing same long skill explanations too many times. We already know what they do as most of them was repeated many times in book 1 also.

The interacting between adult characters and children.

The accompanying atmosphere of the orphanage and growing, maturing children around alongside protective nature of the adults mixed with RPG skills was amazing.

Included adult mature interactions, even that was less of them than previous book, were high quality and worth listening time.

a bit "anime weeb cringe"

the main character is a self entitled narcassist that smugly thinks everything is about him. unfortunately this is backed up by the story and he gets no character growth.

All the jeopardy is "oh no, how am I going to use my awesome power to protect these people who dote on my unconditionally. 1 chapter later - look, I solved it, arnt I amazing, only I could have done this, worship me"

it's full of very cringe writing.

might be fine if you're a young adult super into anime or want a bit of easy reading
