Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would make it longer, developing the characters and plot some more. I'd have made this a rags to riches story instead of riches to rags.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?


I enjoyed most of the story however it was very rushed at the end. Events got resolved very quickly. I was disappointed that the author allowed Lord Wingave's mother to drop a huge bombshell on him very suddenly at the end. I didn't think it added anything to the story. The characters simply brushed it off as inconsequential but it dampened my enjoyment of their happy ever after as I couldn't quite see how he would adapt to his new life and remain content. An epilogue would have rounded the story off better for me.

Any additional comments?

An excellent narration made this story more enjoyable for me. I enjoyed how the different characters were performed. The subtle sound effects also created atmosphere and a sense of being present with the characters in that moment.

A lovely short and sweet love story about two couples falling in love and the reasons why they shouldn't, but true love prevails and this is what the story is about.
It has been beautifully written by Nicole Zoltack and narrated by Melanie Fraser with delightful sound effects in the background from time to time. All together a very entertaining production and most enjoyable.
I was supplied with a free audiobook version by the narrator and this is my unbiased review.
