About this listen

Raw. Visceral. Powerful. Victoria Vale brings a forced marriage, enemies-to-lovers mafia romance to the Leave Me Breathless Black Rose Collection....

Elena

I never believed rumors of mobsters ruling the Miami underworld, until I came face to face with Diego Pérez - the ruthless head of a Colombian crime family.

He says my father will die if he cannot pay back a loan he defaulted on. Our family is bankrupt, and Diego will accept nothing as collateral...except for me.

My father has 30 days to pay up or I’m dead...unless I can convince Diego to spare me.

Diego

Elena Aguilar is a means to an end, and I won’t hesitate to put a bullet in her head if her father doesn’t keep his word.

But then, the head of the Russian Yezhov Family wants to impose a marriage on me as a condition for our alliance. I refuse to allow the man to control me in this way.

Turns out, the enthralling Elena can be of use to me. She may try to fight me, but in the end, I always get what I want.

Elena Aguilar is mine...whether she wants to be or not.

Trigger warning: This story includes depictions of violence and sexual assault; may be sensitive for some listeners.

overall an enjoyable book, but i didnt like a couple of parts (i don't want to spoil it), but a certain hammer scene was too crude for my liking. i liked the characters very much, but both narrators could have done a better job with the accents (colombian32 years old sounding russian from the female narration and colombian 32 years old sounding like an old italian boss from the male narrator) deducted one star for this as it was unpleasant. but both acted good. overall a good story.

i enjoyed it

First time listening to this Author and Narrators!

I loved it, easy listen throughout a little dark towards the end but nothing triggering.

Narration was great brought the story to life.

Fingers crossed there will be a follow up …..

Marrying The Mobster by Victoria Vale is an enemies-to-lovers mafia romance that is set in the Leave Me Breathless world that I listened to on audio narrated by Elizabeth Russell and Jay Alder.

The book does come with a trigger warning: "This story includes depictions of violence and sexual assault; may be sensitive for some listeners."

This is the first book of Victoria's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Diego and Elena.

Jay and Elizabeth did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, captive romances, enemies-to-lovers romance, or romantic suspense.

Marrying the Mobster is a forced marriage, enemies to lovers romance involving Elena, a fashion designer and boutique owner, and Diego, a mob boss after her father for his unpaid debt. When Diego goes after her father for the money he owes, she is offered up in an exchange of sorts.

I thought this book had an intriguing story line. My heart went out to Elena for the situation she found herself in. I wasn't a huge fan of Diego at first and I struggled to see if they would be able to find a connection, but definitely over time I began to feel it. I liked Elena's determination to fight and not just accept things, but also thought she also had questionable judgement at times. Diego definitely grew on me throughout the course of the story as his feelings became much more transparent.

This was my first book by this author. I think some parts of the book could have been developed a little further but overall I really enjoyed it! I think Elizabeth Russell and Jay Alder did a great job with the narration of the story especially since there were some different accents involved with some of the characters. I particularly enjoyed Elizabeth Russell as Elena. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock
