About this listen

Jack and I, we did everything backward. The day he lured me into his office - which was also the first day we met - he proposed. You'd think a guy who looked like him - a bit cold maybe, but still striking and very unattainable - would only ask the love of his life to marry him, right? You'd think he must be madly in love.

It was definitely a slow burner. I just couldn’t stop listening. Great story would recommend

Love this story

Almost 4 hours Longer than "To hate Adam Connor" and "To love Jason Thorne" and not nearly as funny!!
It started out good, but ended up just beeing long.
The male narrators voice was not nearly gruff enough to be a brooding toplawyer.

Spoileralert!
The story had a twist with someone getting ill, but it seemed misplaced and I ended up skipping some chapters.

Long and not as funny....

Beautiful story told at a real slow burn pace. Everyone needs a Jack in their life! Got both the audible and the kindle version and cou

I have absolutely loved this author’s other books, and was excited when this one came out. Unfortunately, I didn’t really like either main character, and they only seemed to be together because they wanted to be with someone, and didn’t really want the other person in particular. The book dragged and I found myself frequently bored. Also, the narration got frustrating and slightly annoying (Kristen Ashley uses the same narrator duo for some of her books and I find the same problem with them). The writing still had a good style to it (which saved the book from getting 2 stars) and I can see why I like this author usually, so I will try again next time she releases a book.

I love the way this story begins with a marriage of convenience between two people. It winds its way around a relationship between two strangers who bit by bit break down each other’s walls. Things may not be all they first appear to be and I love the pace of it. To speed it up would spoil the beauty of this book. Great characters and good narration.
