From the first time that I encountered a Qurillxen novel to this one, I have always enjoyed them. I love the strong dragon characters especially and this one did not disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the Fiora character and her unusual gift that allows her to see others futures, a trait the Federation wish to keep her prisoner for.

I enjoyed the first book in The Qurilixen Lords and looked forward to listening to this second book which tells Jaxx and Fiona's stry. Jaxx is a dragon shifter overwhelmed by the problems facing him but after he rescues Fiona his life beings to change. Fiona's an interesting character with problems of her own being used by the Federation being just one of them but once they come together and they are no longer alone both their lives change for the better.

This book is part of a series but don't worry if you haven't read any others as this one can stand on its own. It's about Fiora and Jax, these two are interesting well-drawn characters but very different. She has a power, or is it a curse? She's able to see the future even if she doesn't always want to, but to make matters worse she can't lie about what she sees. Jaxx is a dragon shifter and also a Prince but he has issues that mean he's not at peace with himself. So when these two meet is there a chance at happiness for them?

The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo is excellent as always, I love how he is able to bring each character to life.

Even before Jaxx see's Fiora he feels her pain. Jaxx quiets Fiora's visions. Can these passionate selfless people work together to save Shelter city. This is another wonderful story is this series. The characters are strong and well rounded. I love this authors work.
Michael Ferraiuolo narration is excellent.

Jaxx is such an amazing character and his love for Fiora is the sweetest ever. A little dark in places because of the pain that Fiora goes through because of her visions but Jaxx, being her true mate, is able to help her overcome the worst of it. Full of action, plenty of romance and a HEA! What more could you want!!!
