Summary

You'll be wincing in recognition and scratching your head in incredulity, but like Marian herself you won't be able to stop laughing at the sheer delightful absurdity that is modern life - because each and every one of us is clearly making it up as we go along. She has wonderful and tickling words of advice for those fast approaching 50.

Would you try another book written by Marian Keyes or narrated by Aoife McMahon?

Marian Keyes is a hugely popular author but this was my first read of one of her books. There were a few wry smiles here and there but on balance, the book is just boring. I managed to get about half way through and then my interest was well and truly lost.

I've read lots my narrator Aoife McMahon - she's first class !

Would you ever listen to anything by Marian Keyes again?

I'd have to try another Keyes book based on feedback from other readers. Maybe I was unlucky on this occasion.

Disappointing

I am a huge fan of Marian Keyes but this book is not worth spending your valuable time or money. It's full of trivia, neither funny nor witty and I did not enjoy the way the narrator read it out.

Making It Up As I Go Along

I attended 'An Evening With Marian Keyes' at a major chain bookshop when this book was first issued and really enjoyed it. The book, sadly, isn't particularly good though - the tales of expensive overseas holidays got on my nerves after a while and I only managed to get as far as 3hr 47min into this mish mash of tales before giving up completely and returning it.

The narrator is far too annoying and whimsical for my tastes too.

Hilarious!!! Interesting insight into my fav author and

Marian is a V V funny lady.. Also warm, open and honest. She has a lot of serious dark personal mental struggles but manages to explain them with hilarious antidotes and stories that u can't help but laugh with her. I wish she was my auntie has she loves her family V much and would be Quare craic to be around :) love u Marian!!!

Totally inane

Pointless drivel which glorifies the fine detail of make up and general beautification . But there is obviously a market for it.

Entertaining x

Entertaining. Great titlle. Thats what most atracted me to purchase. I have to say it listens more like a partial memoir. And yes Marian, it does seem you are constantly on a holiday.
I felt it ended a little abruptly but will listen to it again and look forward to listening to more from Marian Keynes x

Pure Enjoyment!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book, I found it to be very funny and insightful at the same time. I wish it would have gone on longer. The narration was excellent, I forgot that I wasn't listening to Marian herself.
