Michael Young is a brilliant young history student whose life is changed when he meets Leo Zuckerman, an ageing physicist with a theory that can change worlds.

Together they realise that they have the power to alter history and eradicate a great evil. But tinkering with timelines is more dangerous than they can imagine and nothing - past, present or future - will ever be the same again.

Making History is funny, moving, romantic and told with Stephen Fry's characteristic skill and brilliance.

An excellent story showing Fry's deep understanding of history. Wonderful time travel adventure with lots of consideration of the repercussions of the alternate history created.

The book is structured in an odd fashion, and I felt like I wasn't following it properly quite often, but still enjoyable, and I think it warrants a second read/listen.

Time travel masterpiece

This book has me laughing, crying, confused, happy, sad and the gamut of all the other emotions. The narration was perfection and I was drawn in to both the history and the contemporary sections. I loved this book and I am sorry it is finished.

What a book!

Oh dear, you are human after all.
A little disappointed, great story, but unfortunately weak and rushed at the the conclusion.

Stephen, you’re still my hero

As a lover of time-travel stories, I was looking forward to this.
But in the end, it was all a bit simplistic - which is surprising because the first 10 chapters were absolutely confusing as hell!

No better than average.

I found the start quite confusing initially but when I settled in to the rhythm it was a very good read. an excellent twist on alternate History. seems Stephen predicted ipads too

the stylising of a screen play in parts really sold the geeky protagonist and was a pretty accurate description of how men in their 20s view life events,

oily moily
