About this listen

Brock hides his wealth from Sarah as a guarantee that she'll love him for himself and not his money. Not only does she accept him as a simple bank teller, she prefers a simpler life. Brock and Sarah's story is really part two of Barbara Goss' earlier book in this series. The two books are interconnected with the same circumstances effecting both stories and, of course, some of the same characters. I would suggest listening to the earlier book first.

While this story has a bit of romance and a bit of suspenseful action, the main emphasis is on Christian morals and values as it affects relationships and marriage. In fact, this aspect of the story overshadowed most everything else. Brock is a highly devout Church-going Christian who at several points seems to put more emphasis on the importance of his religion than the value of his wife. Not in a chauvinistic way, but converting her to his beliefs seems to hold more importance than almost anything else.

I struggled with this book because it isn't the genre for me. That said, I guess it would work for right person. It is a sweet and clean romance.
