About this listen
Brock hides his wealth from Sarah as a guarantee that she'll love him for himself and not his money. Not only does she accept him as a simple bank teller, she prefers a simpler life. Trouble finds her while she is remodeling the old farmhouse, and the bank robbers return, thinking she's Elaina. Just when everyone thought the couple's love would last forever, she discovers shocking news about Brock that sets her packing and moving in with Elaina and Pete. Brock has to accomplish two things: get his wife back, and convert her to becoming a Christian.
©2017 Barbara Goss (P)2017 Barbara GossWhile this story has a bit of romance and a bit of suspenseful action, the main emphasis is on Christian morals and values as it affects relationships and marriage. In fact, this aspect of the story overshadowed most everything else. Brock is a highly devout Church-going Christian who at several points seems to put more emphasis on the importance of his religion than the value of his wife. Not in a chauvinistic way, but converting her to his beliefs seems to hold more importance than almost anything else.
I struggled with this book because it isn't the genre for me. That said, I guess it would work for right person. It is a sweet and clean romance.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
A sweet and clean Christian romance
