This is a short prequel. With a great start to this series I’m intrigued to see what happens next. A great performance.

What a great start to a, new to me, series! Intense and fast moving, the scene is set for what I anticipate will be a compelling listen. Michael's presence is strong and focused. A protector and leader Michael is surrounded by his brothers who he leads and protects, keeping them as safe as he can from the dark, looming presence of their father. But his life is about to change. I am excited to continue this journey! As always, an immaculate performance from Jason Clarke as narrator. He brings a richness of tone and natural expression to the story drawing you into the narrative with seemingly effortless skill. 💖💖💖💖💖

I did listen to this out of order as I started with Mafia King. Probably best to start at the beginning but it was still ok to go back and listen to this prequel.
I enjoy L Steele’s books and enjoyed this prequel as you get introduced to the main character and start to understand his role in the family and the mafia. A good start to the series which I enjoyed
