Summary

On a ship traversing the dangerous seas in 1710, surrendering to the swashbuckling pirates of the Manhunter will yield the most pleasurable of outcomes.

Thomas Treadwell takes to the high seas as a sailor on a merchant ship as he searches for freedom, a difficult thing to find for a man such as himself in the 18th century. While he must hide his most essential self in the daylight, his forbidden desires are allowed brief tastes of secret passion under the cover of night and with faceless partners. It’s not the freedom he’d hoped to one day find, but it was better than most realities for a catamite. Caught in the taboo act aboard the Virtue, a pious ship captained by the sanctimonious Captain Temperance Stone, Thomas faces death for his crime of finding pleasure with a fellow sailor.

But his fate changes in an instant when the Virtue is caught and boarded by the notorious Manhunter, a pirate ship purportedly manned by men just like him, men who desire men. The ship of criminal misfits offers him safe harbor as a guest, and what was always forbidden is accepted and celebrated. Celebrated heartily and with many of his newfound sailing companions. But when he stumbles upon their mysterious secret, passions and suspicions are aroused. Thomas must decide whether to join their ranks for good, making him a criminal in his own eyes.

Lust in the Caribbean delivers sexy scenes and high adventure, transporting listeners back to a faraway place and time. Dive deep and experience the journey right alongside Thomas, as he discovers the meaning of acceptance, loyalty, and the rule of love over law.

All that + a marvelous performance by Craig Beck!

When I said I was in the mood for a pirate story I had no idea what amazing things awaited with Noah Harris’ Lust in the Caribbean! Adventure and romance, of course. Dastardly pirates and cruel captains, what-ho. Shifters and secret treasure and… wait, Shifters? YES! And what sultry, seductive shifters they turn out to be.

Well there’s all that and more in Lust in the Caribbean, honestly it’s an epic. There’s every piratey thing you can think of and about twenty you’ve never imagined. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I never wanted it to end.

This story translated beautifully into an audiobook and Craig Beck brings his A game. His rich and sultry tones and enthusiastic delivery brings this tale and all its characters to life. I can’t remember the last audiobook I listened to where I seriously couldn’t turn it off and could hardly wait to turn it back on again. What a gem.

This is my first taste of Noah Harris and I’m going back for seconds. This author has either the most wickedly wonderful sense of humor, or is a true deviant with a supremely salacious soul. Honestly, I don’t care which and I hope every book they’ve written is just as delicious as this one.

A pirates survival adventure!

I voluntarily reviewed this audible book as a gift. I already read and reviewed this at Amazon too. I loved the narrator ‘s voice, he has a perfect pitch and it flowed easily through the story.
I love Noah’s characters, Thomas and Radbert found each other and quickly formed a bond. Pirates are not a favorite genre for me but, I did enjoy the wicked twist of this well written storyline. It was a very enjoyable adventure with many twists to keep you wanting more.

a grand adventure!

Lust in the Caribbean by Noah Harris is the tale of ssilor Thomas Treadwell. Caught in a taboo act of finding his pleasures with another man, Thomas is facing the worst day of his soon to be ended life. Just as he watches his accomplice fade from this world and the pious sailors of The Virtue turn their sights on carrying through his death sentence, the ship is overtaken by the infamous ship The Manhunter and Thomas finds himself going on an adventure that will change his life forever and the acceptance needed to embrace his true desires. Now he just needs to fight to defeat his past and keep his new home afloat.

With sexy scenes, adventure and action, drama and suspense...and some surprises, this well written story is filled with colorful characters and attention keeping scenes. I loved how easy it was to lose myself into this historical fantasy adventure with pirates, loot and man- love.

Craig Beck does a fantastic job narrating this tale of the High Seas. Each character is given a unique "voice" that brings out personality and makes the story shine. It heightens the experience, helping the audience envision themselves surrounded by the action. Extremely captivating and recommended listen.
