Summary

Scott Tanner doesn’t panic about problems - he plans solutions - but when he finds himself knocked up with his alpha roommate’s baby, his life begins to spiral out of control. Scott decides all his efforts must go into maintaining the grades for his scholarship, rather than risk his future. He can’t keep the baby; adoption would be more responsible. He refuses to allow his emotions or his omega instincts to keep him from the successful life he envisions for himself.

Australian Luke Loughty takes a happy-go-lucky approach to life, and he always lands on top, which is exactly where he likes to be when it comes to Scott Tanner. When their friends with benefits arrangement results in an unexpected pregnancy, Luke is prepared to roll with the surprise and take on the new responsibility of being a parent, alongside a job, football practice, and school.

When the time comes, Scott forces himself to hand over his newborn baby to Luke and signs away his parental rights. He worries he isn’t doing the right thing for either one of them. Scott might plot and outline every second of his life, but Luke has a plan of his own - a family plan.

This 53,000-word story is the fourth book in the Cherry Hollow series.

Luke and Scott

Luke is an Alpha and somehow doomed with omega Scott, they have been mucking around and Luke helps him through his heat, but the tablets don't work and an unexpected pregnancy results. It is sad that the boys fight and separate, but come together after Sophia is born, love this series. Narration was good, but Aussie accent wasn't the best

An interesting MPREG character study!

Luke and Scott are college roommates until Scott falls pregnant and they disagree about keeping or putting the baby up for adoption. Although there is a huge focus on the pregnancy, this was also a strong and enjoyable contrasting character study: Luke is a relaxed and laidback Australian who knows what he wants and works hard to get it; Scott is more uptight, someone who tries to plan and control everything to quell his panic about life. It’s easy to like Luke and dislike Scott, but I felt both characters were pretty realistic personality types, and it was heartwarming that Luke could see past Scott’s spikiness to his good points. 🎧 I needed to speed up Guy Veryzer’s narrations to 1.5x, as I found his pacing a little slow to my ear; having done that I enjoyed his voicing of Scott. I think most Australians will find Guy’s Aussie accent for Luke uncomfortable listening at first, he doesn’t hit the right notes, but my ear adjusted and I was able to let it go, especially at the higher speed.

College students mpreg story is sweet and fun!

Omega college student Scott’s accidental pregnancy with his Aussie roommate Luke’s baby throws his life into turmoil – he’s not ready to be a dad and wants to give the child up for adoption, but Luke is determined to keep it and raise the child himself, with or without Scott’s involvement. This was a really sweet story – Scott is a bit of an OCD planner, while Luke is laid back, which makes this ‘opposites attract’ relationship challenging and ripe for conflict. The fun part here is the journey, as they figure out what they can agree upon and where their common ground lies. A truly enjoyable listen with Guy Veryzer narrating, featuring an Aussie accent for Luke.
