About this listen

Gigi Bassano

Young. Beautiful. Idealistic. Proud. Gigi was raised outside the Andrade clan, but it has left her with an ache she cannot deny. When she's invited to her brothers' weddings, she refuses at first, then changes her mind and attends without telling anyone. She won't let herself love them, but she can't stay away. It's a recipe for disappointment and heartbreak...especially when she throws herself at her brother's best friend, Kane.

Kane Sander

Sexy, rich, loyal, protective. He shouldn't want her. But he will. He should stay away from her. But he won't. Love doesn't follow anyone's rules. Deny it. Run from it. Love always finds a way.

the narrater often made me cringe, she made gigi sound she was breathless, give one star, because was not possible give zero stars, and for that i’ll not recommend the book
i never did a negative review but i couldn’t pass this one

the narrater spoiled my joy

I liked the story it followed on from the other books in the series. The only negative is the pronunciation of Edinburgh, it’s a Scotish city, once I’d heard it each time she said ‘ed’in’burg but it should be ‘ed’in’brra’.

I love Ruth Cardello's books. This one was a struggle to listen to. Loved Kane's maturity and unending patience. He had the patience of a carmel. I found Gigi's childishness, immaturity and a penchant to walk away. Too scarred and damaged for my liking. She just irritated me so much. Robin Rowan portrays her so well. I really couldn't stand her. The only irritating thing about the narrator was her pronunciation of Edinburgh. Honestly? This is not my favourite. Too irritating and childish. Very spoilt and bratty. Some very cringeworthy behaviours. I wish Kane had met Annalise first

really struggled with Gigi's immaturity

The story is ok felt like a bit of an afterthought to be honest.
The narration is awful squeaky with many mispronounced words. No one who lived in edinburgh would pronounce it wrong. How was the mistake not picked up?

Narration ruined the book.
