This was a story with plenty of potential which got ruined by the author starting mini-stories within it and not following them through.
What was the whole point of describing in detail the male protagonist’s police beat life when all she was going to do is get him to perform an unlawful arrest?
What was the point of spending time writing about him contemplating marriage when he wasn’t even going to propose? Him envying his friends having kids but not following through on it?
Huge let down. Will give this author one more chance then stop purchasing her books
