Grey's Anatomy meets The Hating Game by way of Ali Hazelwood in this fiery enemies-to-lovers debut rom-com.

The first year of residency is hard, so when a rumour starts that intern Grace Rose slept her way into the program, she's determined to set the record straight. But after confronting fellow first year Julian, the situation goes from bad to worse.

Julian Santini worked hard to get onto this program, and he can't afford to get distracted. Especially by his beautiful colleague, who seems to hate everything about him . . .

With pressure mounting, they need to work together to survive the program. Can Grace and Julian put aside their rivalry to save their jobs? Or will the sizzling tension between them spell the end for them both?

Compulsively readable, Love Sick is equal parts sexy and angsty. Deidra Duncan nailed all my favorite aspects from medical dramas
Amid a realistic portrayal of the highs and lows of medical resident life, enemies-to-lovers tension and nonstop banter fill this resonant and romantic debut. Heartfelt and smart, Love Sick is just what the doctor ordered
Bursting with laughter, the joy of found family, and spicy will-they-or-won't-they tension, Duncan's debut about the struggles of OB/GYN residency is the perfect book for Grey's Anatomy fans who wish they could start the Meredith-and-McDreamy journey all over again. Whew… where do I even start?

I came in thinking this would be a spicy, banter-filled delight. And while the banter did deliver—cheeky, flirty, and sharp—the rest of the story dragged like a heavy suitcase through airport security.

The main character’s issues were the main event, and while I’m all for emotional depth, this felt like drowning in overexposure without much plot or resolution to balance it. Some lines made me physically cringe, which yanked me right out of the moment.

That said, the narration was smooth and helped elevate a story that was a bit too stuck in its own mess. And when the spice hit? Ohhh, it hit. Steamy and raw—but also far too brief.

Not terrible. Not great. Just… sick with potential it didn’t fully reach.
