On Resurrecting Jesus, Adyashanti excavates the deep, mythic underpinnings of the Gospels to show how we can all find in the story of Jesus the spark for our own spiritual unfolding. Jesus crossed all of the boundary lines that separated the people of his time because he viewed the world from the perspective of what unites us, not what divides us.

Summary
The Bhagavad Gita is a gem so precious in India's spiritual treasury that many regard it not as a volume of sacred verse, but as a living manifestation of the Divine. In the summer of 1974, inside a balmy Boulder, Colorado, warehouse that served as a main hall of a fledgling Naropa Institute, some say a minor miracle occured: the reawakening of the Gita's living presence, as it unfolded in a series of wisdom teachings led by Ram Dass. With Love, Service, Devotion, and the Ultimate Surrender, you are invited to experience these legendary gatherings.

Outstanding classic
A wonderfully intimate feel to this canonical audio recording of Ram Dass. As usual, Ram Dass helps you along your own path by pointing out the key pitfalls to avoid, based on his own experience, in order to help you achieve what you can in this life time. I have listened to it tens of times already; and each time some of the stories have taken on different meanings depending on where I am on my own journey. Now that's value for money!

Masterful
Ram Dass at his most eloquent, witty and humble. He speaks the truth, and there was very little I could find reason to disagree with. But if I did, he made the space in which to do that. The last chapter it probably worth the purchase alone.

A multiple-listen lifesaver
This is one of the best spiritual talks I've ever heard. A younger Ram Dass floats the wisdom of the Gita through your mind with such naturalness that lines which you overlooked initially cook in your mind and come back to you years later. Listen to this once and you'll have a guru on your shoulder for a lifetime. RD is sincere and funny, honest and self -deprecating. The audiobook is comforting and invigorating. It's a gem.

Not your average analysis - profound given the context of the commentator
This is a very well thought out but meandering review of a classic scripture. If you are expecting an analysis of the work you may be disappointed.
However, when comparing the text to experiences of years as a “teaching” as he resumes in chapter 10, this contains some profound reflections that merit serious consideration.
Specifically, chapter 9 on death, considering Ram Dass’s past as a psychologist and the views had at that time with his beliefs after years as a spiritual commentator is a master talk which shakes my beliefs to the root. Life, death, karma, Vues on death and dying are all put in my blender and require profound review.
I have no idea when the talks were made but they feel as relevant today as they were then.
Take your time and don’t have any expectation and you may well be pleasantly surprised.
I’m going to listen at least once more

I absolutely love this guy!
I discovered Ram Dass a few weeks ago when I listened to Becoming Nobody. After listening 3 times as I always do with Spiritual books, I decided that I wanted more so I bought this one and love it! I will certainly purchase another Ram Dass book after I have listened to this one 3 times. I have also listened to many Ram Dass podcasts and what is interesting is his own evolution from being someone who tried to stay on the higher plane and teach his devotees the same, to then understanding that we need to be both in the Spiritual plane and on the human plane in order to find complete freedom.
He is so real and not afraid to share his own vulnerabilities and the work he did to help others, again without fear, is phenomenal.
I listen to him every evening under the stars and it is the perfect way to spend the evening digesting this wonderful Spiritual journey I am on.
Thank you Ram Dass!

Inner Wisdom
I love Ram Das and have done so from the moment I first heard heard his words of wisdom in the 70's. I always find those gems that make me question myself, that shake me and wake me out of the illusions I slip back into again and again. His words touch deep into the soul like a gentle caress or, a strong prod reminding me just who I am not who I think I am. This is a book which is good for anyone just starting out on a spiritual journey, as well as those experienced travellers still searching.

Bhagavad Gita for Everyone
Recorded in 1974, this book provides a fascinating look back at Ram Dass, and it serves to show us why he was, and still is, such a popular spiritual leader. His tone is casual, he spins stories as though he was hanging out with a group of friends at a cafe (or even a bar), and he gently guides the listener through many of the most important messages in the Gita, a book that can be pretty intimidating at best. This is one of the finest spiritual pieces I ever did hear (or read).

Wow!!! An American mystic.
Ram Dass delivers from his heart the path to Consciousness, God and Love. Having followed a spiritual journey for many years it was delightful to find in a 1974 recording a history that somewhat parallels my journey and it's many twists and turns. In 1974 I would have thought he was out to lunch, not knowing that in 2011 I would love to be lunching with him discussing this path. I especially love knowing that he simply taught and was not invested in Ego's rewards or worried about what the future would bring. This is a treasure, read in his own young, strong voice. Namaste
