About this listen

 It's not easy being a doctor, especially when your wife has run off in search of excitement and you're given the push from your practice for sticking up for your principles.

This is a nice listen: cosy rather than gripping, but that could be somewhat down to Alan Titchmarsh’s calm voice.

Loved it, Alan has a very soothing voice. Story line was not too complex but enough to keep you guessing. At times quite emotional. A gentle book. It reminds me of black and white films on a Sunday afternoon, you just want to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and lose yourself for a couple of hours!
