Story
I left my family and tiny Texas hometown 15 years ago to escape small-town gossips and to give my mom and sister the chance at a better life. But when a phone call from an attorney back home informs me that my sister passed away, leaving me custody of her newborn baby, I'm shocked out of the steady life I've built for myself running a tattoo shop in San Francisco. The thing is: I don't do babies. And I don't do small towns. Or commitment. And I especially don't do family.

Wanted: One night together, no strings attached. Hold me, make love to me, treat me like I’m the most important person in the world. No talking. No names. And don’t be surprised if I’m gone in the morning. After crushing on my best friend for years, I realize he’ll never want someone inexperienced like me. So I decide to get it over with, play the V-card once and for all with an anonymous hook-up. The terms are simple: No talking, no names. It isn’t as easy as it seems. Now I can’t get the handsome stranger who greeted me with soft kisses and gentle touches out of my mind.

For the last three years, I've lived and breathed hockey with one goal: team captain. There's only one thing standing in my way. TJ Beckett. Beck is irresponsible and immature, and I've hated him since the moment we met freshman year. Yet the coaches see something in him I obviously can't, and they refuse to choose between us. The captain spot is going to a team vote. And the team thinks that what we need are a bunch of challenges to prove our worth.

Story
Oz Gallagher does not do relationships well. Bored and jobless after another disastrous hook up, he decides to leave London for a temporary job in the wilds of Cornwall. Surely managing a stately home on a country estate will be easier than navigating the detritus of his relationships at home. Six months there will alleviate a bit of his wanderlust and then he can come back to London as footloose and fancy free as the day he left it. However, when he gets there, he finds a house in danger of crumbling to the ground and a man who is completely unlike anyone he’s ever met.

Being a hit man has its perks, but I never thought getting an accidental mooning by an attractive PI while he’s caught on a fence would be one of them. While it’s not exactly love at first sight, he’s captured my interest and won’t let go. Suddenly, I find myself caught in a game of cat and mouse, determined to attract the attention of Jackson, the PI who should be my enemy. He pretends like he’s not flattered by my flowers and the mentions of my totally-not-fictitious blow-up doll, Randy (or was it Dandy?), but I know better.

This was a great read, so REAL!
- By KR Phoenix @ Books, Tattoos and Tea on 26-11-19
Summary
He promised to never leave me. But when I needed him the most, that was exactly what he did. Wilderness guide Xander Reed has spent fifteen years trying to forget the night he turned to his best friend in his darkest hour, only to find the young man who'd sworn to always have his back was turning his on Xander instead. Two thousand miles and fifteen years of building a new life in the quiet backcountry of the Rocky Mountains should have been enough to put the memory of Bennett Crawford out of his mind forever, but old wounds run deep and when Bennett suddenly reappears in his life as part of a wilderness expedition Xander is guiding, the scars he thought long healed break wide open.

Great performance on a terrible story
What did you like best about Lost and Found? What did you like least?
One of the worst stories ever. Having said that M Pauley did a great job at narrating this nonsense.
Completely unrealistic, impossible characters but I quite enjoyed the narration while out running.

I loved the TWIST OF FATE series.
Lucy lennox and Sloane Kennedy are two of my favourite authors. Separate they are brilliant but together WOW they are amazing.
Add Michael Dean's amazing sexy voice to the mix and you get this uputdownable book.

Absolutely Superb!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read the synopsis for this book but I must admit, I was greatly impressed! I’d like to think I’m a pretty good judge by reading the synopsis a loan as to whether I would like the storyline in general and I’m glad to say in this case, I’m definitely not disappointed!! 🥰
The storyline, characters and the overall theme of this audiobook was very humbling to say the least and the subject of homophobia and in some cases child abuse albeit mild, really brought home to the listener the emphasis of the story and that is what I was impressed with.
Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series of these books, if there is anything to go by this book, then I can only assume they’re going to get better (if that is at all possible) 😊
I have heard other Lucy Lennox titles, and enjoyed them, but never heard any audiobooks by Sloane Kennedy, but this collaboration works really well and look forward to listening to other collaborations or standalone audiobooks.
I highly recommend and definitely worth 5 🌟’s

This was a sweet 2nd chance romance. I enjoyed the story line but I'll be honest, It didn't really stand out. The characters were likable with a little childhood baggage but they turned out great anyways. I think I liked that they wanted to help kids who need it the best about this story. The sex was hot and didn't take over the story line.
The narration was 50/50 for me. I enjoyed Michael Pauley's narration but I didn't really enjoy his sex scenes. He is a little over the top just during those scenes with grunting, groaning and panting. It sounded like his was hurting more than enjoying it.

OK
I usually have both kindle and audible versions of a book - just like to have both when i like a book. I'm a sloan kennedy fan - that said Michael Pauley doesn't do it for me - I know he is wildly popular with the LGBT crowd - but for some reason he just doesn't cut it with me - I have several others I like - Sean Crisden, Joel Leslie - Several others - so - unfortunately i can't buy in to the rest of the series as narrated by Michael - the story seems pretty good.

What a great start to a new series
When two of my favorite authors collaborate on a book I know it will be an auto buy for me. Add in that it is a second chance romance and I'm sold. Zander and Bennett were childhood best friends that were separated fifteen years ago. A chance meeting forces them to reevaluate their ideas of what happened all those years ago.
Both Zander and Bennett have much to overcome as they try to reconnect with each other. How to trust themselves and then each other. I loved watching each of them grow into the person they are meant to be. They fought hard to achieve this second chance they were lucky to get.
I was fully invested with this story from page one and didn't put the book down until I reached the end. What a great start to a new series. I eagerly await the next book!
Michael Pauley has such a gift of bringing these characters to life. It was a pleasure listenting to this amazing story.

A rating...
My Review:
Overall: 4.5
Performance: 4.75
Story: 4.5
There was tons to love about this story. It's a second chance at love story which is definitely one of my favorite tropes, but I think my favorite thing about this story was the outdoor adventure setting. It worked so well to set up an amazing book. I was riveted the whole time I listened to the audiobook and truly would have been okay if the story had never ended. The visuals and settings were great. The romance and the characters were fantastic. I became immersed in the book and didn't want to come out of it...which is really hard when listening to an audiobook. For some reason people don't like it when you completely shut them out in favor of the fantasy world playing through your earbuds.
I highly recommend this one and cannot wait for book #2. I'm hoping it comes out in audio soon, or else I might have to break down and read the ebook.

A second chance, hurt/comfort, opposites attract!
This is book 1 in the Twist Of Fate series and each book can be listened to as a standalone.
This was a sweet hurt/comfort second chance romance.
A great start to a new series!
The characters are likeable, relatable, real and well fleshed out.
The relationship between Xander and Bennett was well developed and their reunion was handled well.
The storyline was interesting and tge writing was light and enjoyable.
Michael Dean's narration was wholeheartedly perfect for this one.
He brought the characters to life and the steamy scenes were hot and passionate! His audio delivery was flawless as always.

Narrator just okay
I am in the minority here but this was my first time with this narrator and I am not a fan of his tone. I found most voices hard to distinguish. But overall still good story and enjoyable- but I had to listen at 1.5x speed to make it through. Borderline worth a credit, but still a good story. I want to know what happens with the rest of the series, the other characters!

No matter how hard you run you can't run from what is meant to be. Bennett and Zander were meant to be. Their love never got lost, it was just on hold. I loved seeing them work thru their issues and realizing that love is worth working thru
