Classic,ingenious stories by the real queen of detective fiction starring her most fascinating creation Lord Peter Wimsey made unlistenable by the worst narrative performance I have heard to date. Stilted strange and often mispronounced when reading descriptive passages, ludicrous when attempting dialogue and characterisation. The reader has obviously no feeling for the text and no knowledge of or respect for the body of work which places Dorothy L Sayers at the forefront of writers of the 20th century.
