About this listen
Most efficient language-learning course ever designed for travelers. Each set contains over 90 minutes of speech: English, then foreign-language equivalent followed by pause for repetition.
©1986 Dover Publications (P)2013 Dover PublicationsIf this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
I can't imagine anyone would enjoy this. It's very dry, the voices are not pleasant, and the structure is just plain peculiar. What didn’t you like about uncredited’s performance?
Too dry and unpleasant to listen to.Any additional comments?
I'm an experienced language learner, I speak 3-4 languages fluently (depending on your definition of fluent) and I've studied languages both by myself and in classes. So when I say this is poor, I'm speaking from a POV of having a clue."Hello. Good morning. Good evening. Good night. I'd like to make an appointment with the Doctor. I'd like to introduce Mrs Wotsit."
This is not a well-structured way to introduce language! You don't leap from simple greetings to modal verbs, that's insane.
(And hello, Hebrew has different forms for "I [do something]" depending on one's gender. Having just one speaking introducing one form = not a good idea.)
Even had the recording been better quality, I would still think this was bad. As it is, it's downright horrible.
This is inexpensive and I bought it in the sale; it's still poor value, and it's still going straight back.
