did it again!!
Great sequel to the first. Amazing plot and character development. The story really draws you in. I want more!!!!! Edit: Just finished my second read through, this book is seriously a gem. It doesnt follow the typical Litrpg/gamelit route and has unique mechanics. The story seems more realistic than other books as the MC doesn't become some overpowered person from day 1. There are tonnes more pros about this book but I'd just say have a read and then thank me later:)

Great sequel
Please listen to book 1 first, it introduces the characters and sets the setting up. Another great entry in the litRPG genre, which sidesteps some of the usual pitfalls of overpowered characters or too strong focus on just the "game". Narration by Jack is getting better and better, some people might find the accents over the top, but I prefer that there is proper differentiation between characters, so you don't always have to remember who's talking.

Series progresses nicely with this 2nd installment
While you could use this book as the starting point for the series, I would recommend starting with the first one, while the pacing is a little slower, it works well as you need to be introduced to the characters, classes, the real and game worlds and the mechanics of the game. This second instalment of the series picks up where the first one ends and then proceeds to ramp things up quite drastically for the main character and his friends with the world opening up and the level of threat increasing accordingly. Along the way there are some interesting revelations concerning both the game and real world that should have a significant impact in later books too. In general the narrator did another good job of enhancing the story, voices were suitably distinctive to nicely enhance the characters, but some of the accents didn't quite work as well for me this time. Overall, a strong second book in the series with the main problem being that there isn't yet a third for me to move onto. [Note - I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.]

Improves on the first novel
Where the first book in this series starts slowly, book 2 jumps into the action. As the main character levels up and grows in power his interactions with the virtual world become more compelling. The novel builds towards a huge battle with Hayden’s Knoll at risk.

Amazing continuation on a Great new series!
Book 2 of Limitless lands brought all the positive elements of the first book, incorporated a bit more LitRPG elements, as well as more in depth combat scenes involving other players. The story continued from book 1 fluidly and the MC continued to grow, develop and gain allies, he faced numerous challenges in the book while the real world story progressed along side the in game one. Characterization and development was improved from the first story as well as combat. The start of a Building mechanic was introduced and hopefully gets more hashed out as the series progresses. The first book really set the tone for a well developed Game world and that continued in this second entry. The narrator clearly worked hard on the second book, going as far as removing elements or limiting them that some people disliked in the previous novel, many giving him an unfair 1 star review. Dont let the negative reviews fool you, although the first book had aspects that some more rigid listeners dislike(fade out and sound effects) it was a good preformance and production that he has vastly improved on with the new entry. and again his Voice perfectly fits the MC and his side voices are good and getting better, he is really giving it that LitRPG feel. Overall i would suggest getting the first book if you haven't already before diving into this one, both are well worth picking up and listening too. Excited for the third installment!

Great sequel to an awesome first book. Loved the new characters and enjoyed the returning ones. Phineas is still my favourite! The plot moved forward very nicely and I love the direction the series is going. I can see things getting pretty epic! Good job by the narrator again (gruff old Army guy done to a T). Clear and varied voices for all the characters.

This is a refreshing take on the genre!
This is a review of both books. This book is truly amazing. It got everything right and the story is solid and entertaining. almost every other story paints the future, the game, the companies that create the game in this cliche light of evil overlord because for some reason it's more profitable to kill, maim or enslave your customer base? This story has none of that, and instead gives an honest account of all characters involved, giving a true and believable representation of what life would be like in the future. Not only is it believable, it is also hilarious and heart wrenching at times. I wasn't surprised at the big reveal, and I hope in the future the author can do a better job at hiding those to up the surprise. even still, it was truly touching.

Great sequel, strong story progression, want more!
A good strong sequel to a great premise. the unique classes are very interesting, without over shadowing traditional classes many know and love. Really cool to see the world and game grow, and the depth of characters is great. The narrator again does a wonderful job, with good clear inflection and pronounciation making it easy to listen to. the pace of reading is consistent, and the volume is as well. And the story is very content rich, with a good long adventure that leaves me looking forward to the next in series. Oh, and the feels left my heart aching pleasantly.
