Awesome! Totally Awesome!

I loved listening to this book! This is such a wonderful series and this book continues the awesomeness! Plenty of action and adventure! This is a wonderfully well written series that will keep you entertain for many hours. The stories can be listened to individually but I found listening to them in order helps everything to make better sense. If you enjoy LitRPG then you have to check out this book at least if not the entire series! The narration is awesome and really brings the story to life. Suzanne Barbetta is an excellent narrator who can do so many different distinct voices. She also puts the right amount of emotion into the words. This is an excellent series and I will continue to recommend it to my friends.

What fun...

There are new players (3 sisters, Jessica, Dahlia, and Lila, who've logged into Puatera through a backdoor), and they find themselves literally sucked into the game. They're  alone, stranded in an impossible situation, and on top of that, it's a very glitchy game!
As the title indicates, this tale is all about Lila, and she seems like the most competent player of the three, which is good because whatever is controlling the game seems to have thrown her into the Deep end of the pool. The pain is real, and she needs to play like her life depends on it!

You'll want (or need) to get the other books in this series so you can find out what's happening with Lila's sisters, but don't worry, I'm certain you're gonna like them too! Actually all the story threads are coming together so you're gonna need to play, catch up...

Book 7 in a great LITRPG series

While this is the 7th book in a series they can all be enjoyed on their own though as with any series there would be loss of backstory and character developments. This story shares the tale of the one of the sisters who was trapped in game do to a glitch. Unlike the other sisters she has chosen to walk down a path of darkness. She has become an assassin and a pawn for an even darker power. Will she find her sisters? Will she find a way out of the darkness? Will she kill her latest target? Find out as the amazing world expands and deepens. Well written and well narrated. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

The pieces are coming together

This is the third book I’ve read/listened to by these authors and the seventh book in the Puatera series. I plan on listening to every book written in it. I’m also keen to try something else these authors have written.
Although this is a complete story thread on its own, the book ends at a point where the stories of the other girls, from the other books, are starting to converge. It is necessary to listen to all books in this series to understand this well written story.

In this story we follow Lila for the first time since her and Dahlia convinced Jessica to try out the game. She enters the game in a dungeon and the only way out is to kill the monster. Problem is, it takes a lot more than what she anticipated to gain the skill to accomplish this. Good thing she’s tough, resilient and determined. She eventually meets Maddie and things get interesting.

This is the third book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Suzanne Barbetta ) and I would listen to another. She is a wonderful narrator. She does a teenage voice well.

There are no explicit sex scenes, or excessive violence. There is the very occasional swear word.

So bloody good!!!!

I can't say enough how much I have enjoyed this series. Dawn Chapman creates such wonderful characters and a bright and vibrant world in Puatera. After following Dahlia, it is cool to get Lila's perspective (and adventure). The narration is well done, as well. All in all, this is a fantastic series in the LitRPG genre and one you owe it to yourself to pick up, especially if you want something a bit different. Bring on book 8!!!!

Also Good Also Short

Again I think the Magic Sequence books should have been combined into one book, These books are short so it makes it hard to recommend spending a credit on them

The story of these three books is the three sisters trying to reunite, while developing their powers and independence. Each sister has a strong and unique personality which shows itself in their powers and playstyles. There is a touch of romance in each of these books, which was a bit weird in Lila's case.

Lila's book is a bit different, she wakes up in a hostile environment and is essentially tortured and trained to be an assassin, I don't think the intense psychological trauma that such experiences would bring, are really showed in the book, She comes out as a bit of an edgelord instead of a person who is actually haunted by the things that have happen to her. but all in all her story is exciting full of near misses.

All these books build on the lore that has been growing over the last four books, and adds layers and complexity of the main plot,

I find it hard to review these shorter books especially since they are so tightly linked to the main plot that reviewing them properly would be full of spoilers.

I really like Suzanne Barbetta here she is a real gem for these younger characters, her voice is youthful and super pleasant to listen to. She does excellent characterizations for all the female cast and is quite good with the male voices as well.

Together!

I'm reviewing books 5, 6 and 7 together. They are shorter and all relate to the 3 sisters finding each other, they really could have been combined together.
These are geared to the younger listener with a new narrator. Who was perfect for these. Even though I did not like these as much the 1st four, they are still interesting and add another element to the story. I'm off to the 8th and final book in series. Looking forward to seeing all the characters together for their final game.
