Good plot though the FMC is rather annoyingly always storming off and going silent for weeks, so the story is slow and gets derailed often.
The key namesake plot line is also glossed over till the last 5 chapters, so feels a bit like an afterthought.

The multiple narrators for this story made it 1000% better. Lilac is one of my favourite BB Reid books and I felt like I picked up on so much more that I might have missed while reading.

I absolutely inhale this audiobook in two days. If why-choose is one of your top tropes this is definitely a audiobook for you, it's full of tension, yearning, dominance and power. The characters give you everything you could possibly want, from deep and brooding to a soft and gentle soul wrapped in a broken shell. This book contains many tropes including emotional abuse and trauma as well as dub-con. The desire and the love was palpable in my ears for the entirety of the listen and I adored every minute. I cannot recommend this audio more. @bookish_withnicky

Liked the story, the pace, the characters each with their own characteristics, coming together seamlessly, rooting for them from the beginning. Broken souls healing each other and creating a place of peace together. Grateful for the epilogue! Love a happy ending! Understanding that love is about choosing each other, being vulnerable, forgiving and fighting for each other and shutting your head up at times and letting your heart and body lead… Coda is my favorite ❤️
